Box Score
The women of the John Carroll volleyball program are still longing for that first league win of the season after a 3-0 loss to Baldwin Wallace University at the DeCarlo Varsity Center.
After a hard fought first set, the women came up short, 25-21. The young Streak team could never seem to throw a knockout blow which ultimately resulted in a sweep delivered at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. (25-21, 25-18, 25-16)
The second set was not much different than the first; however, during the second set, John Carroll offered six service aces to counter Baldwin Wallace's 14 kills and 1 error. Despite playing BW tough, the Streaks fell 25-18.
During the third set, Carroll showed life as they battled through five lead changes and ten scoring ties. The fight showed that the young John Carroll squad had plenty of resilience, but once again, the Blue & Gold ran out of gas.
