Emily Taylor (middle) and Beth Switzler (left) scored 10 and nine points, respectively, for the Blue Streaks against BW
Box Score The John Carroll University's women's basketball team came into tonight's game with cross-town rival Baldwin Wallace on a three-game winning streak, with wins over both Heidelberg and Capital last week, but were unable to keep the ball rolling as they fell to the Yellow Jackets, 72-42, in Berea.
In the first half, the Blue Streaks never could find a rhythm from the floor, as they shot just 31 percent and were 1-11 behind the 3-point arc. The Yellow Jackets also held John Carroll in check under the basket as they out-rebounded the Blue and Gold 29-12, which included holding the OAC rebounding leader
Missy Spahar to just six on the evening, three below her season average.
The second half was much of the same, as BW started off the half on an 18-6 run to extend its lead to 59-29 and never took its foot off the gas, as fifteen different Yellow Jackets got into the scoring column.
Sophomore guard
Emily Taylor was a bright spot for John Carroll, scoring a season-high 10 points. Junior guard

Beth Switzler combined for 16 points, eight rebounds, and five steals in the effort.
John Carroll will look to rebound on Saturday, February 9 when the Streaks take on Wilmington College at 3 p.m. at the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center.
