Box ScoreThe John Carroll University men's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win over visiting Heidelberg on Wednesday afternoon at Purvis Park in University Hts., Ohio.
John Carroll picked up a trio of 6-0, 6-0 wins in singles from
Jad Abdul-Aal (No. 1),
Dillon O'Brien (No. 5) and
Tyler Cole (No. 6).
Kyle Mollison,
Nick Siciliano and
Scott Adsit capped the sweep with their singles wins. Mollison won 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2. Siciliano picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3. Adsit rounded out the trio with a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4.
Earlier in the match, JCU cruised to wins at all three doubles positions. Siciliano and
Alex Guthrie did not drop a single game at No. 3 posting the 8-0 shutout. Abdul-Aal and Mollison won 8-1 at No. 1 while Adsit and O'Brien won 8-3 at No. 2.
John Carroll improved to 4-11, 3-1 OAC.
John Carroll returns to action heading to Capital for a 1 p.m. match on Saturday, April 18.
