Box Score For the sixth time this season, John Carroll played all the way through to the end of the 110th minute, this time earning a 2-2 draw with Marietta in an Ohio Athletic Conference road match Friday afternoon in Marietta, Ohio.
The Blue Streaks trailed early when Marietta's Sophia Moise scored her first goal of the season on a deflected ball in the box.
John Carroll quickly responded when
Bailey Fischer scored back to back goals for a 2-1 advantage. Of the seven goals tallied by the Blue Streaks this week, Fischer has scored five and assisted on another.
The Blue Streaks were hoping to take a one goal lead into the intermission but the Pioneers struck with two ticks left on the clock as Kelsey Carver stunned JCU with a goal ona  crossing pass.
Neither team could break the 2-2 deadlock in the second period or two overtime sessions.
John Carroll is now 4-3-6 overall and 1-0-2 in the OAC. The six draws are not only a school record but are one shy of tying the NCAA Division III record of seven set by Emory in 2012, Pacific Lutheran in 2012;, Augsburg in 2005, Sage Colleges in 2005, and Ithaca in 1989.
Marietta moves to 7-4-2 with the tie, including a 1-1-1 mark in league play.
