The good times kept rolling Sunday, as John Carroll produced an 8-1 victory over league foe Capital.
Box ScoreIn its current four-matching winning streak, John Carroll has set the the tone in doubles, winning 11 of a possible 12 matches in that stretch. That number was aided by a sweep this afternoon at the Western reserve Raquet Club in Streetsboro, Ohio.
Jad Abdul-Aal and David Sinense won their sixth consecutive match by an 8-3 score over Jared Judson and Dale Booher in the #1 slot. Both the #2 teandem of Nick Siciliano and Tyler Cole and the #3 duo of Dillon O'Brien and Scott Adsit won by identical 8-4 scores.
In singles play, Abdul-Aal crept closer to 50 career wins with a 6-2 6-0 decision over Luke Buchanan. Abdul-Aal is now sitting at 44 career singles victories.
Also winning was Sinense at #2,
Alex Guthrie at #3, Cole at #5 (by a 6-0 6-0 score) and Adist at #6. All won in straight sets.
John Carroll is now 5-6 after a 1-6 start, and improved to 3-0 in the OAC. Capital, which had won three of its pervious four contests, fell to 5-8 overall and 0-1 in league play.
