John Carroll used five runners in the top 31 to claim a runner-up finish at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Rumble meet Saturday in Oberlin, Ohio.

DePauw claimed top honors with 83 points, with John Carroll not far behind at 106. Mount Union (125), Allegheny (153) and Trine (199) rounded out the top five.

Matt Andrews was John carroll's top finisher as his time of 25:33.2 was good enough for sixth place overall.

Matt Hallgarth, Ross Martin and Jamie Dailey were outstanding in the pack mentality today, as Hallgarth was 21st in 25:59.9, Martin was 23rd in 26:01.8, and Dailey was 25th in 26:07.8. Not far off that pack was Kyle Monahan, who was the fifth and final scorer for the Blue Streaks by placing 31st in 26;17.8.

This was John Carroll's fifth time in as many meets this season placing among the top five in the team standings.
