Friday was the good day in terms of results, as JCU blanked Allegheny 9-0 in Meadville.
Jad Abdul-Aal and
David Sinense won by an 8-2 score at #1 doubles while
Gustavo Garcia and
Dillon O'Brien were victorious at #2 doubles
Nick Siciliano and
Tyler Cole won by an 8-1 score at #3 doubles, marking Siciliano's 45th career doubles victory.
Jad Abdul-Aal defeated Jai Redkar, 7-5, 6-3,at #1 singles. for his 110th career victory. Also winning in straight sets were Garcia (#2), Sinense (#3), Siciliano (#4), Cole (#5) and
Alex Guthrie (#6). It was Guthrie's first career match at #6 singles.
On Sunday, the Blue Streaks faced #7 ranked Carnegie Mellong and dropped a 9-0 decision. In the marquee match of the afternoon, Daniel Levine, ranked #30 in the nation according to ITA/Orcale, outlasted Abdul-Aal, 3-6, 6-2, 6-0.
John Carroll is now 1-1 on the season.
