Box Score John Carroll put the finishing touches on a third consecutive Ohio Athletic Conference regular season crown by routing Baldwin Wallace, 9-0, Sunday afternoon in Berea in what was the first meeting between the two teams since last year's OAC postseason tournament championship match.

After JCU built a 3-0 lead in doubles, singles play featured six straight set wins. Seniors Jad Abdul-Aal (#1), Nick Siciliano (#4) and Alex Guthrie (#6) all won their final regular season matches, while freshman Gustavo Garcia (#2), sophomore David Sinense (#3) and junior Tyler Cole (#5) did as well.

For Siciliano, it was an especially meaningful victory, as it was 47th singles win in his four seasons at John Carroll. Combined with his 53rd doubles win achieved earlier in the day, Siciliano reached 100 career wins in his final regular season match to join his teammate Abdul-Aal in the century club. 

JCU is now 13-7 overall, 8-0 in the OAC and has won 21 consecutive OAC regular season matches dating back to the 2014-15 season.

The OAC began recognizing a regular season champion in 2003. After sharing the title with Capital and Otterbein in 2015, the Blue Streaks have won the last two regular season championships outright.
