The Blue Streaks will aim to keep rolling Thursday night, as the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season champion John Carroll University women's basketball team will host the Otterbein University Cardinals in an OAC Tournament semifinal round contest.
JCU will host the Cardinals on Thursday, February 21. Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m. inside the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center.

This will be the third meeting this season between the #1 seed John Carroll and the #5 seed Otterbein Cardinals, and the second meeting in eight days. JCU swept the regular season series with two wins over Otterbein (72-66 on January 2nd in Westerville, 71-67 in University Heights on February 13).
John Carroll (20-6, 15-3 OAC) enters this matchup on a six-game winning streak along with winning nine of its last ten contests.
The Blue Streaks are 12-1 in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center this season, with its only loss being a defeat against Oberlin College on November 17, 2018. JCU did not lose a conference match-up at home this year.
Nicole Heffington leads the team with 15.1 PPG.
Kahrin Spear had 23 points and drilled four three pointers against Otterbein on February 13th.
Otterbein (16-10, 11-7 OAC) comes to University Heights with Dani Kissel leading the way in scoring with a team and league high 19.1 PPG. Alex Schaffer had 17 points when the teams matched up last week.
The teams have meet previously in the OAC tournament four times (1991, 2004, 2005, 2006). John Carroll won the initial match-up back in 1991, but Otterbein has taken the last three. All the previous postseason battles between these two teams have taken place in Westerville.
The winner of this contest will advance in the tournament to take on the winner of the matchup between #7 Ohio Northern & #3 Marietta on Saturday, February 23rd with the location TBD. If JCU wins, it would host either winner on Saturday. If Otterbein wins, teh Cardinals would host Ohio Northern or travel to Marietta.

$6 for senior citizens (65 and over)
$3 for non-OAC students and youth (18 and under)
All OAC students are free with their student ID.
