The tournament started off hot, with JCU seeing back-to-back pins from Stefan Farian (184 pounds) and Eddie Wallace (125 lbs.)  JCU would win most of their matches in round one, bringing nine to the quarterfinals.

Six of the nine quarterfinalists won their matches to bring them to the semifinals.  Wrestling in the semifinals tomorrow morning will be Andrew Perelka (133 lbs.), Kale Buckiso (149 lbs.), Patrick McGraw (157 lbs.), Luke Reicosky (165 lbs.), Stefan Farian (184 lbs.), and Jesse Kanatzar (197 lbs.).

Three other JCU wrestlers made it through the consolation bracket to wrestle on day two, those being Eddie Wallace (125 lbs.), Caiden Rodgers (174 lbs.), and Tom Blackwell (285 lbs.).  They will battle back tomorrow in hopes of placing third and punching a ticket to the NCAA Championships that way.
