John Carroll Athletics Announces Partnership with Rock Entertainment Sports Network

The Blue Streaks will now be on over-the-air television.
CLEVELAND – John Carroll Athletics is now on television! 

The Blue Streaks are proud to partner with Rock Entertainment Sports Network to broadcast John Carroll Football and John Carroll Men's Basketball games over-the-air on channel 22.1.

The Blue Streaks will debut on RESN on Sunday, October 13 from 3-6 pm with a tape-delayed airing of Saturday's John Carroll vs. Capital game. A rebroadcast will occur on Friday, October 18 from 4-7 pm. 

"We are very excited to announce our partnership with RESN," said Vice President for Athletics and National Engagement Brian Polian '97. "The ability to feature our student-athletes and the great tradition of John Carroll Athletics on this new media outlet is a wonderful opportunity. Sports fans throughout Ohio will be able to follow the Streaks and learn more about our great university and the young people that represent it."

Rock Entertainment Group (REG), the umbrella entity that houses Dan Gilbert's sports and entertainment properties under the ROCK Family of Companies, and Gray Media reached an agreement to launch Rock Entertainment Sports Network in July. RESN will serve as the home for the American Hockey League's Cleveland Monsters, the NBA G League Cleveland Charge, and the Lake Erie Crushers. RESN opened the fall by broadcasting St. Edward High School football games and more. 

John Carroll vs. Baldwin Wallace will air on Sunday, October 20 at 3 pm, JCU vs. Otterbein will air on Sunday, November 10 at 5 pm, and JCU vs. Marietta will air on Sunday, November 17 at 3 pm.

John Carroll Football and Men's Basketball will continue to be broadcast live online at JCUSports.com/live for free alongside all other JCU home games. 

Times and dates for John Carroll Men's Basketball will be released at a later date. Air times are subject to change. 

Each football game will include a guest color commentator. Full schedule of commentators to follow. 

John Carroll Sports Information has partnered with the Russert Department of Communications' Blue Streak Media to provide a leveled-up production complete with 4 cameras, replay, and graphics, debuting the setup for the home opener two weeks ago. 

How to receive RESN "The Rock" sports channel*:
  • Press the Menu button on your remote or TV
  • Select Settings or Setup
  • Look for an option like Autotune, Scan for Channels, Channel Scan, or
  • Rescan
  • Select Antenna or Air
  • Run the Auto-Program
When scan is complete, your TV will tune to the first channel it found. You can
then use the CH+ or CH- buttons to navigate through the channel list.

*The exact steps may vary depending on your TV so you can consult your TV's
user manual if you're having trouble. The process can take a few minutes up to ½
hour.
