Men’s Track & Field Open The Outdoor Season At Muskingum For The Amy Adams Memorial Invitational

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The Blue Streaks kicked off the outdoor track & field season as they traveled to New Concord, Ohio for the Amy Adams Invitational, hosted by Muskingum University. 

Final Results

The men placed fifth out of 13 teams scoring 65.50 points. Walsh University won the meet title gathering 118.50 points, followed by Case Western Reserve scoring 105.50 points. Baldwin Wallace and Seton Hill rounded out the top 4, scoring 89 and 79.50 points respectively. 

The weekend got started with the men's hammer throw as freshman Moose Frombach made his collegiate debut placing third overall in flight one with a mark of 38.64 meters. In flight four, the duo of Noah Schroeder (48.31 meters) and Matthew Russo (45.77 meters) would place fifth and sixth in the event, scoring for the Blue Streaks. 

In the running events, four Blue Streaks would place in the top 6 in the 100 meter dash. Senior Garrett Clark led the way for the men, as he placed second overall with a time of 10.82 seconds. Cam Klauke (10.96 seconds), Jimmy Kartsonas (10.99 seconds), and Dustin Horner (11.04 seconds) would round up the top six placing fourth, fifth, and sixth. 

In the 200 meter dash, Garrett Clark would lead the way again as he wins the event with a time of 21.96 seconds, followed by Basheer Alramahi placing second running 22.31 seconds. 

The Blue Streaks made an appearance in the field events as both Corey Minton and Jeremy Frazao would score for the men in the men's long jump. Minton placed fourth overall with a mark of 6.23 meters, followed by Frazao placing seventh jumping 6.13 meters. 

The men will be back in action next week as they travel to the Bob Kahn Invitational hosted by Oberlin College and the Carnegie Mellon Invitational in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania as the outdoor season gets underway.
