Luke Frazier Earns Second-Team All-American Honors In The High Jump Placing 11th Overall With A Mark Of 2.00 Meters
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Blue Streaks returned for day two of the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a lot of momentum.

They were coming off the first day with three events advancing to the finals including the men's 4x100 meter relay, Ethan Domitrovich in the 3000 meter steeplechase, and the men's 4x400 meter relay.

To get things rolling on the second day of the championship meet, junior Luke Frazier would place 11th overall in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.00 meters to earn Second-Team All-American honors in the event. This was Frazier's fourth meet competing in a John Carroll uniform and ended his junior campaign with a lot of hope and confidence moving forward.

Next up was sophomore Basheer Alramahi in the open 400 meter dash in heat number two. Alramahi would place eighth overall in the prelim with a time of 47.46 seconds to move on to Saturday's final. Alramahi will look to earn his first All-American accolade in the outdoor 400 meter dash tomorrow.

To conclude the day for the Blue Streaks, senior Ethan Domitrovich would toe the line for his last race in a JCU uniform. Domitrovich gave it everything he had and placed 12th overall with a time of 9:28.75 to earn Second-Team All-American honors in the event. It was an excellent career for Domitrovich as he would become one of the greatest runners to ever put on a John Carroll singlet throughout his four years.

The men will gear up for three events tomorrow as they look to bring home some hardware. The men's 4x100 meter relay of Garrett Clark, Basheer Alramahi, Dustin Horner, and Jimmy Kartsonas will go off at 4:15 pm (ET).

Not too long after will be sophomore Basheer Alramahi in the open 400 meter dash, which will take place at 5:20 pm (ET).

In the next few hours, the men's 4x400 meter relay of Garrett Clark, Dustin Horner, Tyler Gast, and Basheer Alramahi will compete at 8:00 pm (ET) to conclude the weekend for the Blue Streaks.

An action packed day awaits us as the men look to rebound after the second day of the national championships at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
