The JCU quartet enjoyed a banner year for JCU Women's Basketball

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS -- On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams were announced, and to no surprise, John Carroll Women's Basketball had strong representation on the list.

The honor recognizes the top student-athletes in the country for their prowess on the court and in the classroom.

Being recognized on the All-District Team this season are Kaylie McKenney, Carly Perusek, Maddie Pietrowski and Graci Semptimphelter.

Leading off the Blue Streaks is Kaylie McKenney. McKenney is making her first appearance on the CSC All-District team after being honored as a member of the Winter Academic All-OAC team from the last two seasons. The junior biology major averaged 6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game this season and also dropped 13 points in a crucial win vs. Wilmington this season. McKenney was a key piece to the Blue Streaks success this season off the bench.

Carly Perusek, a junior majoring in finance, enjoyed a breakout junior season where she started in 19 games. The Willoughby Hills, OH native averaged career highs in points, rebounds and assists per game with 7.8, 7.7, and 2.3 respectively.

Maddie Pietrowski is a familiar face on the CSC All-District team, with this being the seniors second year in a row receiving the honor. Off the court, the Medina native is studying finance. On the court, Pietrowski has prospered in her time as a Blue Streak, consistently contributing to John Carroll's success in each of her four years on the team.

Graci Semptimphelter splashed onto the scene for the Blue Streaks in the 2024-25 season. The Ohio Wesleyan transfer posted a career year, averaging 9.8 points per game. The sharp-shooter went an impressive 35% from three on 117 attempts. That three point percentage finished second amongst all Blue Streaks only to star junior Ava Ryncarz. Off the court, Semptimphelter is a Business/Spanish major from Franklin, Tennessee.
