Anderson secured NFCA Third Team All-Region recognition

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – For the first time in 7 seasons, John Carroll Softball can lay claim to an All-Region honoree.

On Friday afternoon, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 386 student-athletes from 161 schools who comprise the 2026 NFCA Division III All-Region teams.

Jordan Anderson made the cut for John Carroll as a Third Team selection. Anderson becomes the 22nd Blue Streak all-time to earn All-Region status and the first since Lindsay McKnight in 2019.

The graduate student enjoyed a remarkable campaign in her lone season as a Blue Streak. The star pitcher/utility player led the Blue Streaks in most categories, as the First Team All-NCAC selection performed well all season long.

At the plate, the Alliance native roared for a .448 batting average, the best by a JCU hitter since Hall of Famer Mackenzie Griffin set the program record at .548 in 2013. Anderson tallied 17 extrabase hits, including 7 homers, tied for 7th in the single-season program record book. The George Mason transfer netted 36 RBIs, tied for 6th in program history. Her patience at the plate showed, with 11 walks against 10 strikeouts.

Anderson also proved to be John Carroll's most reliable pitcher over the course of the campaign. She finished tops on the team with a sterling ERA of 1.97. In 49.2 innings of work, Anderson registered 62 strikeouts, good for an impressive 8.7 strikeouts per seven innings. The southpaw appeared in a team-high 17 games, starting three times. Her 4 saves led the team. Only allowing 9 walks in 49.2 innings is also quite impressive, as is her .216 batting average against.
