A great season debut has earned Samantha Goodnough the distinction of North Coast Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week.Â

Goodnough wins the prize for the first time in her career.

The Olmsted Falls native competed at the Spartan Invite, hosted by Michigan State at Forest Akers East Golf Course in East Lansing, on Friday. Goodnough captured a time of 22:29.7 in the 6k, a new personal best. In a field packed with Division I talent, the Olmsted Falls grad placed 61st overall.
Goodnough and the Blue Streaks have some time off to prep before returning to the course. Next up on the meet is the Paul Short Run on October 2.
