John Carroll trailed by as many as seven and rallied back to win 58-57 over Kalamazoo in the Nan Nicholas Classic in Wooster, Ohio.

Katlyn Spahar sank two free throws with 13 seconds remaining to put John Carroll up 58-57. The sophomore came up with a steal with two seconds remaining to seal the game.

Four Blue Streaks reached double figures led by Spahar's game-high 19 points. Joining Spahar in double figures were
Beth Switzler (12),
Meghan Weber (10) and Mog (10). Switzler finished with a double-double pulling down a game-high 13 rebounds.

The game featured tough defense on both sides with 47 combined turnovers. Neither team shot above 36 percent from the field.

Spahar and Mog combined for nine of John Carroll's 14 steals.

A Switzler layup put JCU up 21-16 with 4:35 remaining in the first half. Kalamazoo responded with a 10-0 run over the ensuring 1:27 to take the 24-21.

John Carroll would not lead again until Mog connected on a jumper with 9:23 remaining.

The Blue Streaks would remain in front until a pair of free throws from Perri Nicholson with 56 seconds remaining.
