Knapp, Krom, Martin, Van Gorder, and Weiss Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

The Women's Lacrosse quintet made the CSC's At-Large Team

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS – On and off the field, John Carroll Women's Lacrosse is making the magic happen. 

On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators announced the 2026 Academic All-District At-Large Team, which sports Blue Streaks who achieved above a 3.5 cumulative GPA while reaching the necessary requirements (playing in 90% of games or starting 66% of the games). 

Riley Knapp, Kenzie Krom, Karson Martin, Emily Van Gorder, and Hannah Weiss all made the grade for the Blue Streaks. 

Van Gorder, Martin, and Knapp are all repeat winners, as the trio won recognition in 2025. 

Riley Knapp continued to play a starring role for the Blue Streaks this season. The playmaking junior notched Second Team honors from the North Coast Athletic Conference and won NCAC Athlete of the Week recognition on April 7. Knapp led the team with 60 draw controls and scored plenty, accumulating 21 goals and 7 assists. Additionally, Knapp snagged 34 groundballs. The New Yorker is working on her degree in Exercise Science. 

Kenzie Krom played in all 16 games for the Blue Streaks. The sophomore attack tabbed 9 goals and 1 assist. The Colorado native secured 18 draw controls and 9 groundballs. Krom is pursuing a degree in Marketing.

Karson Martin proved to be a key cog again in her senior campaign. The Pittsburgher played all 16 games at midfield, raking in 33 draw controls. The veteran also tabbed 4 goals and 8 groundballs. Martin completed her degree in Exercise Science in May. 

Emily Van Gorder anchored the defense yet again this season. The senior started all 16 games as a lockdown defender, accumulating 19 caused turnovers and 29 groundballs. The heralded veteran finished her degree in Primary Education. 

Hannah Weiss worked hard all season long as a tough defender. The Hamburg, New York native finished third on the team with 32 groundballs, also racking up 17 caused turnovers. The Sports Information star started all 16 games for the Blue Streaks. Weiss proudly completed her coursework in Exercise Science in May.
