Men's basketball player Andy Juhola (class of 1988) was standout during a very successful run for the Blue Streak program.
He helped John Carroll capture PAC titles in each of his final three seasons, all of which he served as a team captain. He also played a large role on JCU's 1986 NCAA Division III tournament team.
In addition to being a two-time Presidents' Athletic Conference MVP and two-time first team All-PAC selection, Juhola was named second team All-PAC as a freshman and sophomore. Also, he garnered PAC Co-Rookie of the Year notice as a freshman.
Juhola graduated as the all-time assists leader at JCU, and was third in career points (1502), third in career field goals (628), fourth in career free throw percentage (.784) and fourth in career rebounds (649). A four-year letterwinner who started every game of his career, Juhola was named as the team Most Valuable Player a total of three times.
