Hall of Fame
Soeder will also join a father in the Hall of Fame. His father, Len ’50, was also a football player and was inducted into the Hall in 1986. The two Soeders are the first father-son combination to be enshrined in the Hall.
The younger Soeder is the fourth all-time leading rusher in school history with 2,540 yards. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry and scored 16 touchdowns. He was a four-year letterman and was named first-team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference in 1973. He was team captain his senior year and played in the 1976 All-Ohio Shrine Bowl following that season.
He was also a member of John Carroll’s first baseball team.
