With rosters comprised of many of the same players, the 1962 and 1963 John Carroll football teams put together two of the most dominant back-to-back campaigns in school history. Both seasons ended in 7-0 records and Presidents' Athletic Conference championships.
The 1962 team ended the year with five consecutive shutouts and surrendered just 20 points all season. The 1963 squad had a similar defensive mindset as it allowed just 28 points.
All in all, the John Carroll football teams outscored their opponents, 351-48, in posting the second and third undefeated seasons in the history of the Blue Streak program. No team had been undefeated since.
