Pete Hayek made his mark on the mats, where he became a four-time national qualifier and three-time All American before his graduation in 1989.  His best finish was in 1989 when he was the Division III runner-up at 126 pounds.

He concluded his career with a 94-31-3 record, including a 26-7-1 mark as a senior, and was a three-time President's Athletic Conference champion.  During his career the blue streaks finished fourth in the nation three times and sixth once.

A stellar student, he was twice named a Division III Wrestling Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete.
