Morgan played in the original "heyday" era of John Carroll football.
As a two-way player, Morgan saw action on both the offensive and defensive lines in his three years as a Blue Streak. He was a starter two of those years.
In the two seasons as a starter, the Blue Streaks were 13-3-1. Morgan was a key contributor to John Carrol's first ever Big Four Championship. He had a goal-line stand which enabled John Carroll to beat Western Reserve, 6-0, in the 1939 title game.
