Francis Talty was a member of the Blue Streaks basketball squad as a guard from 1939-42.  He was also captain of the squad during the 1941-42 season.

After graduation in 1942, Talty received a law degree from Case Western Reserve University and practiced for over 40 years.  The highly respected judge presided over some of the best known cases in Cuyahoga County history.  Talty was also a board member of numerous organizations and associations, even having a building at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo named in his honor.

Talty passed away in 2004 at the age of 83.
