At the time of his induction Magyari still held the John Carroll record for the lowest singles season ERA of 1.90, set in 1982. He also owned school records for most career starts (30), most career complete games (25), most career wins (19), most career innings pitched (221) and most career strikeouts (200).
Three-time All-PAC first team selection over the course of his career. Following graduation, Magyari became the first Blue Streak to sign a professional baseball contract, pitching for Utica of the Class "A" New York Penn-League from 1984-1985.
