A four-year letterman as a fullback, Zebkar rushed for 934 yards (210 attempts) and seven touchdowns for 4.6 yards per carry in his career. As a senior he averaged 6.0 yards per carry in gaining 406 yards.
He was also named All-Catholic All-American following his senior year in 1954.
