Hall of Fame
Dennis Hareza was a three-time national championship qualifier who cashed in as a senior by placing fifth in Division III at 167 pounds to earn All-American honors.
Over the course of his career, Hareza would win 76 times (sixth highest total in school history at the time of his graduation) and would capture three National Catholic Invitational titles and two PAC crowns.
JCU would win four PAC championships as a team in Hareza's tenure with the program, and would finish in the top 12 of the nation in each of the three years he qualified for the NCAA meet. The JCU Coaches Award winner in 1981, Hareza became just the fourth wrestler at that time to win 20 matches three consecutive years.
