Koblin was named Associated Press Little All-American and All-Catholic All-American in 1962. He was named as the JCU Most Valuable Lineman in both his junior and senior seasons.
Koblin was named to the First-team All-Catholic All-American as a senior and second team as a junior. He was also named First-team All-PAC in 1962.
Koblin led JCU to a 7-0 record and a PAC championship as a senior. He was a member of a JCU defense that established six NCAA and 22 PAC records in 1962.
