Shayla Bell, from the class of 2006, Shayla Bell (finalist in 2016), graduated as the all-time leading scorer in John Carroll women's basketball history, and stood 11th all-time in the history of the Ohio Athletic Conference for point scored.

A first team All-OAC selection in both 2005 and 2006, Bell is one of just four players in program history to be named All-OAC first team twice (Cindy Shumaker, Lee Jennings, Katlyn Spahar). She was also honorable mention All-OAC in 2004. Bell, who was a six-time OAC Player of the Week, led the OAC in scoring as both a junior and senior.

Following her senior year, Bell became the first Blue Streak to earn all-region honors when she was selected to the All-Great Lakes region third team by d3hoops.com.

A four-year letter winner and starter Bell held seven team records at the time of her graduation, including career points and (1,619), single season record (498), single season field goals (182) and singles season free throws (141).
