JCU's first national champion in the sport of track and field. Won the Division III championship in the high jump at the 1987 NCAA Indoor championships. Three-time high jump qualifier in both the indoor and outdoor NCAA championships. Awarded All-PAC ten times and was conference champion five times.
At the time of his graduation owned three school records. Five time letter winner, four in track and one in cross country
