Hall of Fame
Pete Amico was the leading scorer on the John Carroll football team during the 1930 season. However, his top performance came in the 1929 season, where he scored three touchdowns in the second quarter of a 90-0 rout of Valapariso.
Amico was also a starter and three-year letter winner in basketball from 1929-31.
Amico went onto coach football, basketball, and baseball at the high school level for more than 25 years. He also officiated football and basketball games across junior high, high school, and college levels for over 45 years.
In 1992, he was inducted into the Greater Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame and received awards from The Touchdown Club and The Basketball Coaches Association. Amico is also a member of the East Tech High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
