Joey Bigler was the first Blue Streak to win a Division III Statistical Championship, as he led D-III in 3-point field goal percentage in 1995-96.
He was a three-year starter and key outside threat on two Ohio Athletic Conference Championship teams in 1994 and 1996. The Blue Streaks won the program’s first NCAA Tournament game during Bigler’s junior season in 1996. As a junior, Bigler earned the AT&T Long Distance Award for the highest three-point field goal percentage (.486, 54-of-111) in all of NCAA Division III basketball.
Upon graduation, Bigler held the program career records for three-point field goals made (181) and three-point field goals attempted (447), along with the single-season marks for three-pointers attempted (188 in 1996-97) and three-point percentage (.486 in 1995-96). Additionally, Bigler tallied 1,009 points, 209 assists, and 110 steals in 103 career games.
