Dave Pendergast was an accomplished member of the football team, graduating from John Carroll in 1968. Pendergast was a three-year letterwinner and a two-year starter. He was named first team all-conference player as an offensive lineman in his two years as a starter for the Blue Streaks. At the time he played, Pendergast was tabbed by head coach Jerry Schweickert as “his most aggressive lineman” and “one of the best we’ve ever had.”
During his career as a starter, the Blue Streaks were 7-3 in conference play, placing second in the President’s Athletic Conference in 1966 and third in 1967.
