Hall of Fame
Team captain of the 1936 squad under then first-year coach Tom Conley. Anchored the line from his tackle position, earning All-Big Four notice and numerous team honors. He was a versatile player who occupied all the positions along the offensive line at one time or another during his career.
A solid athlete who also captained his St. Ignatius High School football team as a senior. Would start and letter two times for the Blue Streaks as a two-way player.
