Kerry Volkmann earned his induction by placing in the John Carroll Wrestling Record Book 10 times and the Football Record Book 11 times. A freshman sensation in wrestling for Coach DeCarlo’s up and coming national power, Volkmann posted an 11-0 season record in 1968 and to date is the only wrestler ever to finish a season without a loss. He is currently in third place in career dual wins and PAC dual wins with his 33-4 career dual record and 19-0 record in PAC duals. He also appears in the all time top 10 in seven other wrestling categories.

As a football player, Volkmann made his mark as a punt and kickoff return man. As a sophomore under Coach Jerry Schweickert, he contributed to the 1969 Blue Streaks’ 7-1 record by returning 9 kickoffs for 254 yards, an average of 28.22 yards per return, and returning 23 punts for 165 yards, an average of 7.1 yards per return. In all, he was ranked in the top 10 in five categories as of his induction. He is also ranked among the top 10 in career statistics six times.
