Hall of Fame
Konya was a member of the Varsity Football team for the Blue Streaks from 1939-1941, where he served as an Interior Lineman. He helped the Blue Streaks earn a 7-1 record in 1939. During that year, the Blue Streaks defeated Arkansas A&M 49-7. To round out the '39 season, Konya assisted on the Offensive Line to win the Big Four Championship. Â
He earned the honor of being named an All-Big Four and All-Ohio athlete. He was also named to the "Pre-War Era All-Time Team" squad as an Offensive Linesman.
